Thinking sustainably, acting responsibly through research and education.

Food Safety
Food safety is a global public health issue. RAF will be examining existing governmental regulatory food safety programs to create a curriculum to help educate those around the world regarding seafood safety requirements.
Animal Health Management
Animal health management is one of the greatest challenges facing the aquaculture industry. RAF has conducted extensive research on existing disease issues and will be using that research as the basis for educating aquaculture practitioners.
Environmental/
Social Responsibility
People and organizations must behave ethically and with sensitivity toward social, cultural, economic and environmental issues. Striving for environmental and social responsibility helps individuals, organizations and governments have a positive impact.
Coastal Zone Management
Zone management, or spatial planning, encompasses measuring the collective impacts of aquaculture at the ecosystem level. In addition to protecting the ecosystem, zone management is intended to reduce the risk of disease and attract capital investment.
